Intumescent Paint Contractors
Intumescent Coatings Services with TBL Fire Protection
Intumescent paint can be applied to a building’s steelwork, to improve its structural integrity, should a fire occur. It is often considered the most cost-effective and efficient method of fire protecting structural steelwork.
The paint will intumesce (or swell) when exposed to high temperatures, and form a carbon layer, char. This thermally insulates the steel protecting it from collapse.
Utilising precise intumescent technology, our intumescent paint installers can achieve fire ratings of 30, 60, 90 and 120 minutes. The use of intumescent paint is particularly advantageous where 30 & 60 minute fire ratings are required.
Clients can achieve a bespoke finish and colour, by application of topcoat, should this be required.
TBL are third party accredited with FIRAS, thus all works will be certified upon completion.
