We installed numerous cost-effective fire protection solutions on this new 18,000m² four-storey building. This healthcare development provides a number of facilities for the hospital, including 120 consultation rooms, 26 specialist audiology and ear, nose and throat rooms, ultrasound and X-ray rooms, as well as CT and MRI scanners.
Intumescent paint was applied to steelwork, in order, to achieve one hour fire protection. Cavity barriers and other general firestopping was installed throughout the building across numerous levels and phases. Multiple services penetrated plant rooms, which were fire stopped according to their numerous differing specifications.
Numerous Quelfire putty pads were installed to maintain the fire resistance of plasterboard partitions where they had been penetrated by plastic or metal electric socket boxes.
